Disruptive fashion startups for the 080 Barcelona Fashion Investor Day



The second edition of 080 Investor Day, the International Investment Forum for the Fashion Industry organised by 080 Barcelona Fashion and the private network of investors Seed&Click, now have their finalists. The selected projects will present their projects on the 30th June at 10:15 am in the INEFC Barcelona, during a day of exclusive activities in the 080 Barcelona Fashion programme.


The objective of 080 Investor Day is to boost enterprising initiatives, to promote national and foreign investment and to encourage commercial transactions and innovations in the fashion industry.


The finalists of the 2016 edition are:

  • Bookalook (London, UK) makes it easy for Stylists to request samples from Brands + PR Agencies that use Bookalook to manage their inventories, requests and team’s activity.
  • Costalamel (Barcelona, Spain) is a street style fashion brand selling limited edition, high quality clothing and accessories made in Barcelona.
  • Sheekr (Barcelona, Spain) digitizes the buying process to socialize the buying decision. For the fashion industry.
  • Skugga (Stockholm, Sweden) is fashionable electrical sunglasses with adjustable tint, controlled automatically to the light of your surroundings or manually through an app on your smartphone.
  • Smartzer (London, UK) Video is the future of content marketing and the Smartzer technology is at the forefront of enabling corporations monetise their investment in video.
  • Vogo Fashion (Montpelier, France) is an innovative app that allow people assisting to a fashion show to get all the details of the live and to have an enriched experience.

The criteria for the selection of the Startups finalists focused on their innovative capacity, their viability, their social impact, the experience and attitude of their management teams, and their capacity to communicate. Out of the total projects received 74% were Spanish, 7% from the UK, followed by countries including France, India, Portugal, Sweden and Ukraine. The average capital needed by the projects presented is €325,000 and they have already raised around €220,000. The majority are startups created in 2015 and are related to the technology.


The jury members of 080 Investor Day 2016 will evaluate the finalists and choose the winning project (which will be awarded a prize to the value of €100,000) on 30th of June.


The forum will be attended by experts in the sector as Olivier Marcheteau (Vestiaire Collective), Isabel Mesa (WGSN), Myriam Serrano (Woman Madame Figaro), Enric Jové (McCann), Nic Olivé (Please), Diego de Vicente (Moddo & Modalia), Eva Abans (Ernst & Young), Marta Homedes (Nike) and Laura Mauries (Pai Partners).

080 INVESTOR DAY PROGRAM 2016

The finalists of the third edition will be presented within a day that also include other relevant activities such as a round table under the theme “What’s next & beyond for the fashion industry”. After that will come the presentation of the finalists selected projects, which offer their ‘elevator pitch’ to the jury of experts, investors and public attending the final. Then comes the big moment, which will proceed to the announcement of the winner of the 080 Investor Day 2016, in addition to the winner of the social media award (voted on social networks of Seed & Click).

Tickets are available here and then you will be asked to show your email confirmation in the entrance.


TO COLLECT YOUR ACCREDITATION FOR FASHION SHOWS

You will be able to pick up your accreditation at the 080 Barcelona Fashion accreditation desk located in the Hall of the INEFC (from 27th June). You will be asked to show your ID / Passport.


HOW TO GET TO INEFC (Carrer del Estadi 12-22 08038 Barcelona)

To make it easier for visitors to get to INEFC, the organization will set up free shuttles from Plaça Espanya throughout the five days of shows. The bus stop will be on Avinguda Maria Cristina, close to Plaça Espanya, and the service will run continuously from 11am till 10:30pm and from 10am on 30th June. To get to Plaça Espanya, the metro is the easiest way as there are two lines, red L1 and green L3, that go there, as well as Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat.


Duration: 15 minutes from Plaça Espanya to INEFC

– From the airport: AEROBUS to Plaça Espanya stations / TAXI (around 25€).

– From Sants Train Station: METRO L3.

– Underground: METRO Espanya (L1, L3).
